Following the success of the 2018 summer school, we are delighted that the Centre for Dementia Prevention (CDP) will be hosting the course again this year.

The CDP Summer School is a multidisciplinary 4-day course in research methods on three research sites of the Edinburgh Dementia Research Platform, with an optional 5th day on statistical methodology. The school is designed principally for post-graduate students with an interest in pursuing research in Alzheimer’s Disease, but also open to final year students and medical students undertaking research projects. Applications from other persons interested in increasing their general knowledge of research in this area (for example public health workers) are also welcome to apply.
Admission is restricted to 20 participants to maximize student/teacher interchange. The course will provide an overview of research design and methodology from cellular and animal research through to clinical and general population studies.
