COVID-19 National Core Studies Symposium

The COVID-19 National Core Studies Symposium on 24 June 2021 will showcase UK scientific achievements during the pandemic with a focus on the research impact of the six National Core Studies programmes. The objectives for the symposium are to:

  1. showcase the progress to date on each of the six National Core Studies and their impact on UK COVID science, life sciences industry, and policy
  2. bring together the National Core Studies community, as well as the broader UK and international scientific community, public and patients, to share best practice, identify opportunities for collaboration, and discuss the priorities of different stakeholders
  3. begin to shape the next phase of the pandemic response and consider how the post-COVID landscape can support open collaborative science at scale

The symposium intends to welcome an audience of 500 people from the following groups:

  • the health and science communities in the UK and globally, across academia, industry, and healthcare sectors
  • policymakers
  • public and patients
  • media
