NHS Research Scotland (NRS) and Chief Scientist Office (CSO) Patient and Public Involvement Event

Hosted by NHS Research Scotland and the Chief Scientist Office of Scottish Government, this event will showcase the strength and diversity of Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) across Scotland. 

The event is for PPI Partners, PPIE Professionals, Researchers (including Early Career Researchers) and Policymakers working in, and with an interest in, developing their PPI practice and activities. This event will offer an opportunity for sharing, networking and increase collaborative working in PPI across Scotland.

Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) Awards - now closed 

Nominations are also being accepted for two PPI Awards 

  • PPI Newcomer Awards
  • PPI Impact Award 

These awards recognise the journey of PPI in research and nominations should highlight examples of how the nominee has utilised and fulfilled the UK Standards for Public Involvement. 

To be eligible you must be able to tell us about a project that was either active or completed in 2022-24.

To enter please submit a 500-word (max) summary of your public involvement to communications@nrs.org.uk. Submissions must be made before 5pm on Tuesday 5 March and include:

  • A description/examples of how the UK Standards informed the way the public involvement was planned and managed
  • Who was involved/who collaborated
  • A description of the progress/achievements
  • Evidence of the impact and difference made by the newcomer nominee or impact nominee

Winners will be visible on websites and social media channels
